Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in 'Chihuahua' - Review and Swatches

I have a new friend joining my slowly growing liquid lipstick family.

This is the Too Faced Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in 'Chihuahua'.

'Chihuahua' is nude colour that leans pink when I wear it on my lips.  The formula is consistent with my favourite Too Faced Melted, 'Melted Fig' (Review HERE) - pigmented, slightly thick, and has a slightly shiny finish.

I found that when swatched on my arm the colour was much more nude, similar to Maybelline's Color Sensational Creamy Matte in 'Clay Crush', but without a completely matte finish.  However, when worn on my lips, 'Chihuahua' leaned more pink, where as 'Clay Crush' would remain more brown-toned.  I do wish that 'Chihuahua' was slightly more pink, more like the colour of the tube, but I know that Too Faced has many pink options available at Sephora, so it's not a problem.

All in all, I'm still really pleased with 'Chihuahua'.  It might just turn into my go-to lip colour.  Which Melted should be next on my list?

  1. Love that these seem more like an orange nude with a yellow undertone than the dusty rose nudes I'm used to. Your post is inspiring me to try out this colour range!
