Magnum Ice Cream Pop Up Store in Toronto

If any of you Torontonians are looking for something to beat the heat, head down to Magnum ice cream's pop-up store, located at Yonge and Bloor, near the H&M.  For 6 dollars, you get to personally customize an ice cream bar to your liking - and if you say the magic words (found within this post), you get a sprinkle of edible gold on you ice cream, and a limited edition Nail Inc. nail polish.
When paying for your treat, be sure to ask for the "Golden Touch", to get a sprinkle of edible gold, and this limited edition Nails Inc. nail polish, which is said to have real gold in it.

My customized bar:  Vanilla bean ice cream, dipped in milk chocolate, sprinkled with macadamia nuts, white sprinkles, French macaron pieces, dried strawberries, gold flakes, and drizzled in white chocolate.

A little hard to see, fancy magnum bars decorated with gold and diamonds.

A $1.5 million gold sequined dress, designed by Zac Posen, specifically for Magnum, inspired by the ice cream.
The view of the room, filled with artwork, and fancy furniture.

The pop up store is in town until July 28th, but be sure to keep an eye on Magnum Canada's twitter feed to see if they are extending their stay.  "Treat yo self" (reference, anyone?) to your own special ice cream bar that you can top with almost anything, including chocolate flakes, and chocolate rice krispies - for those of you with a sweet tooth, and popcorn, salt, and bacon - for those of you who are a little more adventurous.  And be sure to comment on this post, and tell me how you customized your ice cream.

Tutorial - Summer Gradient

1)  What you will need - A makeup sponge, some clear topcoat, a yellow polish (NYC's "Lexington Yellow"), an orange polish (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear's "Sun Kissed"), and  red polish (NYC's Spring Sunset).

2)  Paint a solid yellow base, and let it dry completely.

3)  On the makeup sponge, paint a line of each colour, making sure all of the colours overlap.
4)  Dab the makeup sponge on the nail, about 3 times, on different angles.  If the desired colour is not achieved, repeat steps 3 and 4.

5)  Immediately add your clear topcoat to smooth out any bumpiness from the sponge.

6)  Voila!!

Splatter - Pure Ice's "Black Rage", and Sinful colors' "Ruby Ruby".
Accent Nail - white base, Spoiled "Shuffle The Deck", Sally Hansen Ceramics "Silver Slightblade".
