Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Perfume - Review

Dior has just put out their latest fragrance, 'Absolutely Blooming'.

Pretty in pink, and topped off with a bow!  Let's take a look.

"Loyal to the spirit of blooming bouquet, François Demachy has a created a composition with immediate impact that is undeniably attractive.  Naturally beautiful with an intensely fragrant floral bouquet.  Sassy with tangy sweetness.  As fresh as infinite blooming.  Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is a perfume with a smile."

This eau de parfum uses notes of red fruits, and heightens them by adding spicy peppercorns to appeal to the senses.  The floral notes include rose centifolia (which is named for its 100 petals), to diffuse the honeyed and peppery notes.

Top Notes - Raspberry, pomegranate, black currant, pink peppercorn
Middle Notes - May rose, peony
Bottom Notes - White musk

Fun fact:  Christian Dior used to plant entire fields of may rose on the grounds at the Château de la Colle Noire.  Today, Château de la Colle Noire has been restored to its original state, and once again, thousands of may rose bushes have been planted by Armelle Janody from the Clos De Callian (which reserves its entire harvest of may rose for Dior Fragrances).

I'm someone who tends to gravitate towards the fruity scents, so 'Absolutely Blooming' was a bit of a change for me, being that it is a floral scent.  What makes me like this scent, even though it has mostly floral notes, is the addition of the pink peppercorn.  It gives the fragrance a spicy, almost fizzy spin, that hits you a few seconds after smelling the perfume.  I could see myself wearing Absolutely Blooming in the fall, when I want something a little bit lighter than my usual, deep fruity fragrances.

Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming is available for $119.00 CAD (50 ml), and $165.00 CAD (100 ml) August 2016 at Dior Counters.
